Publications
José Gregorio is Author of more than 60 articles on administrative law, State responsibility, foreign investments, economic regulation, competition law, intellectual property, arbitration and public procurement, published in specialized journals published in Venezuela, Spain, the United Kingdom and Ukraine. He is the author of the books “Promotion and Protection of Investments in Venezuela” and “Jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of Justice on Alternative Means of Dispute Resolution, Commercial Arbitration, Arbitration and Investment Arbitration.” He is a member of the Editorial Board of the International Bar Association’s Construction Law International.

Academic activity
José Gregorio has developed his academic activity as an undergraduate professor at the Universidad Santa María (1999-2000) and as a postgraduate professor at the Universidad Central de Venezuela (2003), the Universidad Católica del Táchira (2005) and Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (2005- 2019). He has also been a professor of the Diploma in Hydrocarbons at the Universidad Monte ávila and has recently been invited as a professor on International Investment Law and Arbitration in the LL.B. course at Brunel University London.
Awards
Chambers Latin America, Chambers Global, Legal500, Latin Lawyer 250, Best Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal and Latin American Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA) have recognized José Gregorio as one of the most outstanding lawyers in the field of Public Law, Arbitration, Competition Law, Life Sciences and Energy and Natural Resources since 2011. More recently, José Gregorio has been included in the exclusive Legal500 Private Practice Powerlist Arbitration Latin America 2023 and was reviewed by Business Today as one of the 10 most influential lawyers in dispute resolution in Venezuela.
Locally, he has received awards from authorities of the Chacao and Guaicaipuro Municipalities, the Honor of Merit award from the Miranda State Bar Association and the Medal from the Caracas Bar Association. He is Honorary President of the Venezuelan Arbitration Association since 2021.
